Dr. Allen Young was born in China and has lived across the United States including Oklahoma, Oregon, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Alabama, Maryland, California and now Nevada. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where he received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Master of Public Health in Health Policy.
He received his Medical Doctorate from the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Dr. Young has a strong academic and research background and has published over 40 papers in peer-reviewed medical journals.
He also has a passion for engaging in underserved communities and has done multiple medical volunteering tours in Ghana and Ecuador. He is active in health policy and has served in several leadership positions at the American Medical Association (AMA) and American Academy of Otolaryngology (AAO).
Dr. Young completed his otology and neurotology fellowship at the prestigious Silverstein Institute and now specializes in hearing loss, tinnitus, tympanic membrane repair, chronic ear disease, Eustachian tube dysfunction, hyperacusis, and dizziness/vertigo.
In his spare time, Dr. Young is an avid competitive swimmer, runner, and home chef. He enjoys traveling the world with his wife and speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
