Shiyuan “Annie” Zhu, MS, CCC-SLP

Shiyuan “Annie” Zhu is a medical speech pathologist specializing in voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She then obtained a Master of Science in Medical Speech-Language Pathology from the #1 ranked program in the country at the prestigious University of Washington.

Annie completed her clinical training and fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center and VA Seattle Medical Center, where she trained under the top pioneers and leaders in the field of medical speech pathology. Annie has practiced across a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term care, and outpatient clinic. She is proficient in evaluating and treating the spectrum of motor speech, voice, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. She is adept in performing modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). Annie is also certified in SPEAK OUT! for improving the voices of individuals with Parkinson’s disease.

Here at ENT Consultants of Nevada, she works closely with laryngologist, Dr. Jonathan Salinas, to deliver exceptional patient care for voice, swallowing, and upper airway disorders. Annie is an avid believer in providing one-on-one, individualized treatment sessions.

In her free time, Annie enjoys traveling the world, discovering new foods, and indoor climbing. Annie is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Shanghainese.
